Cioppino's

The food was good no doubt about it but it was pricey and I did not feel like the food was as fresh as it could be. The service was also not fantastic overall I could not give 5 stars. I did not feel like it was worth the price.

The atmosphere was great. The scenery is fantastic. Feels upscale and a good place for a date.The food? It's alright, but that's it. Unfortunately I think the touristy vibe of the area hikes the price up a bit higher than I think they are worried about quality. The service was about what you would expect from Denny's. Drinks came out after food was served. Food was served by someone else. At the end I had to track him down to get the check so I could get to the meter.

A great place to sit down at the end of a long weekend and enjoy their signature Cioppino soup. With spring around the corner and closing on a cold winter, Cioppino's offers a warm, welcoming ambiance. The serving filled four soup bowls and was loaded to the bottom with seafood. Each bowl had an even amount of variety.

We ate at several very good restaurants during a month long western driving vacation. For an individual dish, Cioppino's was the winner. The menu offered seafood with fettuccine. The server recommending changing it to linguine and it was the right decision. One of the best single dishes I've eaten. My wife ordered the crab cakes. She thought they were the best she's eaten. Hope we can visit Cioppino's again.

We had the veggie pizza, garlic cream mussels.. Pizza was OK. But the mussels dish was great. Service was good. Friendly staff

Easy location at the wharf. Good food and good service.

European style, family friendly, great food and service. Mid range prices, reasonable for SF. I love to seat outside, however keep in mind that it will be a little cold at night.

What an incredible experience!!! From the service to the excellent seafood! Wow! Our waiter was Martin R who greeted us with such professionalism and grace!

If one works in the wharf area, there is s local menu- $10.95 with a beverage. Pizza's good but on the main menu

Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Excellent customer service from Ana. Appreciated the friendly hostesses & wait staff. Delicious Seafood Fettuccini and try the Beer Flight of San Francisco's craft beer.

The fries were good. My wife had the Cioppino's. She enjoyed the variety of seafood, but could not eat it all. (Huge portion.) Our son had the shrimp pasta. He loved it and ate every bite. Great service with a relaxing environment. We sat with a view of the street. Nice view and perfect for people watching. Simply put, it was a great dining experience.

Located in the harbor, this place is overpriced. I enjoyed my fish and salad. Everything was on a above average level. But, Prices could be lowered, as it was not my best service, not the best atmosphere and not the best food. I did not make a photo to share, as there was nothing interesting.

Food and drink made to perfection 👌!

A little pricey, but very good food. The breading on the fried shrimp is excellent, the blackened salmon was perfect. The staff was nice and attentive. Didn't try them myself but, the kids meals (spaghetti, fried shrimp, & chicken strips) were devoured. Reservation process was easy, I completed mine through Google!

Honestly, the food was unremarkable. I went there a couple of months ago and can't even remember what I ate. I recall it tasting fine, but nothing that would make me want to go back again. The atmosphere was nice being right by the water and on the Fisherman's Wharf strip.

When I visit San Francisco, I always bring my party here. Great food, great vibes, and never a disappointment. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a seafood/Italian meal.

We had been traveling all day and when we checked into our hotel they suggested Cioppino’s for dinner and I couldn’t be more happy they did! I typically do not like cioppino but couldn’t help myself and ate half of my husbands dinner. Our kids meals were amazing as well everyone enjoyed their meals. I would have given 5 stars but the service was not great.

Attractive restaurant with really good food. The service was fast but only giving 4 stars because service was sterile with no personality. Will be back despite disappointing service.

This was so good! We didn't know the place and were surprised with great fresh food. Enjoy a sunny day near pier 39 for the local dishes.

Great food and service. Luis really took care of us to make sure we had everything we needed. My wife ordered the cioppino and it was delicious. It was enough for 3 people so we had a lot to take home. I ordered the fisherman's platter and that was also delicious. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Great food and atmosphere here on fisherman's wharf. Friendly staff, all round great place to come. Try the clam chowder or Minestrone! 👌🏻

It's my all time favorite restaurant all over the seafood of all time. I love their food a lot 😍😍 😍😘❤️💙 😍😍😍❤️💙 😍❤️❤️💙 😍❤️❤️💙 😍❤️💙 😍❤️💙 😍 I could even live in it as a Heavenly home!!! And really, good graciously food you have brought for me to have as I go in to take it in the air. So bravo to those who had worked so super hard to make it into something delicious and all of your hard work in this restaurant. Seriously, though, it was extremely super special to me! It has inspired me so much of how hard it is to make something that has such a customer should must say in it. It was such a incredibly honored miracles you have made and the best out of it. Very good clam chowder for apps. My wife loved her pasta. My salmon was good but a tad dry. Still ate it and enjoyed my time.

Anytime that we visit San Francisco this is the restaurant that we love to come and visit. They have great Italian food. The service is always top notch. They do offer bread before your meal as an appetizer.

After a day of walking around the pier we stopped by for dinner. A perfect choice, the food was excellent. We told the rest of our group about our dinner and brought back the entire group of 25. Everyone was please with their selection. This was a very good choice. Highly recommend.

Sitting outside in the sun eating beautiful bruchetta and clan chowder - heaven. Add friendly service, fabulous. Can't recommend Cioppino's more highly.

The service was great! Everyone was nice and the food came quickly. I ordered a lobster chowder bowl and it was AMAZING. Their signature dish the Cioppino was the best with reasonable pricing. Two people could easily share it. I loved this place and would really recommend, I’ve went here 3 times and every time was great. 🤩

My wife and I stopped here after walking all day. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun and enjoying the local atmosphere.My wife enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine (FERRARI-CARANO Fume Blanc) I enjoyed a couple of beers (Hazy I.P.A).We also enjoyed the RED CHILI SHRIMP & CALAMARI, it was absolutely delicious.Our waiter (Luis) was great and he had very nice personality and served us nicely.We would definitely return if we come back to San Francisco and we recommend this restaurant.

Ordered grilled salmon, it was very good. Pleasant staff. Bit pricey.

I had the vegetarian pizza and it was SO GOOD. Nice service, nice space too.

The staff was nice but the atmosphere was pretty dead.Also, I was really disappointed with the cioppino, it’s supposed to be their signature dish and it was basically a tomato soup, the fish in it wasn’t that good.Disappointed

Stumbled upon this place whilst walking around. Food was tasty, fresh and well done. Staff were very accommodating and helpful even though our kids made a mess. Worth a stop if you want to have a yummy dinner. The chowder was very good!

Breads are cold and hard, i had to asked the waitress to warm it up by the microwave. Nothing special about the pizza. The soup is good except for the cold bread again. The water taste ok. Overall i think they are overcharged the food here.

Both my date and I ordered fish and chips extremely bland and underwhelmed. She had a soda water and myself a half tea half lemonade $70+ for a mediocre meal. Hard pass on eating here but the location and decor is wonderful.

The food and Service were great!! The Mahi with brown sugar and almonds, The chicken Alfredo, and the spaghetti with chicken parmesan. Not too expensive , reasonable for it's location. Definitely recommend it.

Went here on Rose Bowl 2020, had a great time chatting with the bar tender. Mark is a cutie pie! Sourdough bread bowl was great with clam chowder and very fast! On Wisconsin!!

Love to stop here when visiting S.F. and it never disappoints. Recommend having0 a reservation, at least on weekends. Nice wine selection. Good service and great food. The bread is served warm. The chowder and crab cakes were delicious. The Shrimp Aurora pasta dish was superb. The red sauce was a very flavorful. The fettuccine alfredo was rich and delicious with large prawns. Too much food. No room for dessert this time around. I've never had a bad meal here. The wait for a table may be a bit daunting for many, but your meal with be well worth it.

I really enjoying it. The place looks great and so is the food. The service was good as well really on top of things.

Actually had a rough experience at this location. We were there for over an hour while people who came in after us were getting their food. However, the manager canceled our entree for us and wouldn't allow me to pay for our appetizer or drinks. In every service industry mistakes are made, and I think her approach of humility and service is commendable. The seafood dip we did have was great!

The fish was fresh but I do not Think they put a lot of effort into their dishes. I would not come back as I think there are better places to go for fish. However it was nice to sit in the sun and dine. The waiter was nice. But the place is not something special.

A little bit of a tourist trap due to its great location in the heart of fisherman's wharf. I had the clam chowder which went down pretty well but nothing special. You're eating here for the location over anything else as there are way more interesting restaurants slightly inland on Columbus road or in the Italian area.

Amazing delicious food at great prices; the waiters Mark and Anacleto were very helpful and caring. Amazing people amazing place. Will definitely come back!!!

1. Red meat found in seafood soup, server behaved as if it’s so normal. I would expect it to be clearly called out in the menu if a dish has an ingredient totally unexpected. Whole world is not carnivorous.2. Ambience is average, seating is very congested. Behaviour of servers is below average.

Good location and friendly lady at the door, but our waitress was no fun and did only give minimum of service. The food was just ok and 2 out of 3 was not warm enough.
